PROBLEM

Some recently graduated psychologists lack supervised experience in applying theoretical foundations, leading to difficulties in documenting their patients' cases effectively for diagnosis and treatment planning.

BACKGROUND

From a Notion templates kit to an organized health record

Previously I designed a clinical record focused on psychologists composed of questionnaires/ worksheets, optimizing psychologists' workflows , this contains four distinct templates, which includes comprehensive documentation of notes and variants. This approach enhances the understanding of patients' cases, enabling psychotherapists to gather the necessary information for an effective diagnosis.

Psychotherapists often work outside the office to organize patient notes and study cases. At times, this includes transcribing handwritten notes.

Notion limitations

Therapist can’t search the name of a patient to locate them faster.

The design hierarchy is limited by the fonts selection (only 2 font families and 4 sizes) and colors available.

The layout was partially structured with columns and toggles, but this approach doesn’t offer optimal information visualization.

The responsive design is adapted to the Notion layout, but this makes it even more difficult to understand patient information on non-computer devices.

BUSINESS GOAL

Create an educative tool which also supports a guidance to junior psycholotherapist to work on their patients’ documentation

Dyana has been practicing as a psychotherapist for 25 years and has recently authored a guide that she wishes to convert into a visual map to connect variables. This project aims to develop a visualization scheme that supports information and questions for each phase of therapy while also allowing for patient note-taking.

CURRENT COMPETITORS

Some records focused on mental health therapy don't consider different methods

Current products on the market focus on organizing notes by dividing them into sections; however, they don’t provide an educational perspective and do not emphasize a diagnosis-centered approach.

CURRENT PRODUCT TESTING

If these templates are easy to understand, our users will feel confident in utilizing a solid structure to organize patient documentation.

CURRENT PRODUCT FINDINGS

• There’s a lot of information inside toggles and sometimes obstructs the writing.

• It’s hard to duplicate patient’s sheets with the same templates to create a patients list.

• Terms of use and introduction are repetitive, since each template is sold separately.

• Though most of psychologists use TBC workframe, not all of them use the exact same steps to take notes.

NEW APP SCOPE

• A new layout with a better distribution.

• It will provide an scalable product to include more templates/ schemes according to different workframes.

• Users need to edit/ modify variables of templates according to their preferences and methods.

• The premium subscriptions will provide guidance to ensure an ethical use of these materials.
